Stoner fined for warm-up clash

French Grand Prix polesitter Casey Stoner has been fined 5,000 euros by the MotoGP officials for an on-track altercation with Randy de Puniet in this morning's warm-up. Stoner, who was fastest in the session, was on a quick lap when de Puniet's slower-moving Pramac Ducati crossed into the Honda's path. As he overtake de Puniet, Stoner reached across and appeared to lash out at the Frenchman, who gesticulated angrily in reply.
