Dan Biederman: ?If You Try to Change Things, You Get Opposition?

The Bryant Park lawn, 2010. Dan Biederman says opposition to the private management of a public park in the 1980s was more vociferous than the opposition encountered by NYC DOT's Midtown street reclamation projects today. Hungaroring seeking funds for resurface

Hungarian Grand Prix chiefs are hoping to get the funding in place to resurface the Hungaroring track for next year, following complaints from drivers last weekend. With the circuit having a firm contract in place until 2016, race organisers are willing to spend money upgrading the facilities and circuit - although it will still need some kind of government support if it is going to happen.

So Here?s a Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe Drifting Around Two C63 AMG Sedans [VIDEO]

Mercedes-Benz asked its fans on Facebook to vote for which vehicular stunt they felt Benz?s latest commercial should feature, and the fans picked a drifting figure-eight. What, no R-class jumping through a flaming hoop while pulling off a triple-axel? Not very imaginative, these Merc fans. Still, Mercedes answered the fans’ call and produced the video [...]

Menard runs lean to Brickyard win

Paul Menard claimed his maiden NASCAR Sprint Cup Series win by edging Jeff Gordon after a fuel-saving run to the chequered flag at Indianapolis. The Richard Childress Racing driver bounced back from a pit road penalty early on to be in position to battle for victory when fuel strategy came into play. When the fifth caution of the day came out for an incident ignited by contact between polesitter David Ragan and Landon Cassill, Menard was among a number of cars to pit for fuel and tyres

Massa fearing bad start

Felipe Massa fears that starting on the right-hand side of the grid could cost him positions at the start of the Hungarian Grand Prix, despite putting in his best qualifying performance of the year relative to his Ferrari team-mate Fernando Alonso. The Brazilian qualified ahead of the Spaniard for the first time since last August's Belgian GP, but with the Hungaroring notoriously dusty off-line he is concerned that a bad start could drop him behind the double world champion

Sutil delighted with eighth-place start

Adrian Sutil was a delighted man after securing eighth place on the grid for the Hungarian Grand Prix, the second time in succession the German has qualified there. "I'm very pleased with my qualifying and it feels great to be starting from eighth for the second race in a row," said the Force India driver, who scored his best result of the season in last weekend's German Grand Prix with a sixth place finish. "This morning in final practice things did not look so good because I was struggling with a general lack of grip.
